It is with deep regret Paintsville Fire-EMS-Rescue announces the line of duty death of Paramedic/EMS Director Christa Dawn Burchett, who lost her life at approximately 1000 hours, January 22, after being struck at the scene of motor vehivle collision on US 460 in Johnson County. director Burchett was assisting a patient into an ambulance when a coal truck lost control on teh icy roadway, striking and killing both Christa and her patient.

Uniformed EMS, Fire & other Public Safety personnel are invited to pay their respects to Director Burchett by forming up for the Funeral Procession outside the Louisa Middle School, 9 Bulldog Lane, Louisa, KY 41230, between 1100 and 1230 hrs Sunday.
